The Role
You will be the client's day-to-day liaison, working closely with senior colleagues to deliver healthcare communications programmes that meet the client brief and objectives. You will provide robust, consistent account management, including financial responsibilities, while juggling competing client priorities and playing a pivotal role in coaching junior team members to deliver work at a high standard.

Understand how individual billing and investment time contribute to agency profitability, proactively flagging capacity issues to account leads
Adapt to each client's working style and preferred channels, providing proactive, clear, and concise communication across the team
Ensure clients and teams are aligned on programme goals and timelines by putting clear processes and targets in place
Provide guidance, coaching, and open, constructive feedback to support the professional growth of junior team members
Client Services
Act as the key day-to-day client contact, building trusted relationships by delivering to a high standard, proactively addressing needs, and resolving issues in a timely manner
Coordinate project teams and collaborate across practices and partner agencies to fulfil project requirements
Provide recommendations and solutions grounded in a sound understanding of the brand's strategy, translating it into tactical delivery
Drive the tactical proposals of RfPs and identify opportunities to expand existing client work, with senior support on new business development
Build awareness of relevant industry regulations (e.g. ABPI/EFPIA), GDPR, and trends to enable high-quality, compliant project management
Project Management
Develop, discuss, and refine project briefs with clients to budget projects appropriately
Develop, manage, and reconcile budgets, ensuring senior team members and clients are informed of variations in a timely manner
Ensure account profitability by proactively managing scope creep
Develop, adhere to, and update project timelines and status reports, flagging when timelines are at risk and providing status updates to clients
Supervise work completed by junior team members to ensure a consistently high standard of quality.
People Management
Work closely with senior leads to understand team needs, assign tasks, and provide feedback as appropriate
Mentor and train junior team members, supporting their development
Contribute to an inclusive team environment where all members are recognised for their contributions
Demonstrate an ability to manage upwards, knowing when to keep the senior team updated and when to seek their input
What You'll Need
Minimum of 2 years account management experience within a healthcare communications, medical communications, or healthcare PR agency
A track record of acting as the day-to-day client contact, building trusted relationships and delivering programmes on time and on budget
Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and managing scope
Experience overseeing, coaching, or mentoring junior team members
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, delegate, and manage multiple accounts simultaneously
Working knowledge of industry regulations (e.g. ABPI/EFPIA) and GDPR
