Our client is a well-established HEOR consultancy that supports pharmaceutical, biotech and medical technology companies with the evidence they need for reimbursement and market access. Health economics is a key growth area for the business, and they are building out the team at several levels.

The Role

This role suits a health economist with solid modelling experience who is ready to take ownership of projects.

From day one you will act as project manager on health economics projects. You'll keep work on track, be a point of contact for clients, and lead hands-on modelling tasks yourself. You will work across cost-utility and budget impact models, alongside experienced modellers who will support your development towards building full models from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

• Project manage health economics projects, covering timelines, budgets and day-to-day client communication

• Lead hands-on modelling tasks across cost-utility and budget impact models

• Build budget impact models from scratch, and contribute to de novo cost-utility model builds

• Adapt global cost-utility models for local markets and HTA submissions

• Source and pull together model inputs, working with evidence synthesis and statistics colleagues

• Run sensitivity and scenario analyses and summarise results clearly

• Write technical reports, slide decks and dossier sections

• Support proposals and scoping where needed

• Contribute to publications, conference abstracts and presentations

Qualifications & Experience

• MSc or PhD in Health Economics, Economics, Statistics, Epidemiology or a related quantitative discipline

• Typically 2+ years' experience in health economics, ideally in a consultancy setting

• A solid understanding of how economic models are structured and how they work

• Hands-on modelling experience in at least one of the following; 

- building cost-utility models de novo

- adapting global cost-utility models for local markets

- building budget impact models de novo

• Experience managing projects or workstreams

• Strong Excel modelling skills

• Clear written and verbal communication skills

Desirable

• Experience building a full cost-utility model from scratch

• Experience supporting HTA submissions in one or more major markets

• Working knowledge of R or VBA

• Client-facing experience
